Nigel Walker appointed chair of Welsh Athletics

Nigel Walker has been appointed as the new chairman of Welsh Athletics, taking over from outgoing chair Steve Perks. Walker previously served as vice chair for 12 months and has a distinguished sporting background, representing Great Britain in the 110m hurdles at the 1984 Olympics and Wales at the 1986 and 1990 Commonwealth Games. He later switched to rugby union, making 121 appearances for Cardiff.
