Nikola Kusturica, possible No. 1 NBA draft pick, chooses UCLA

Serbian forward Nikola Kusturica, a 17-year-old (born April 2009) 6-foot-9 prospect, has signed a multiyear agreement to play for UCLA and is considered an early contender for the No. 1 pick in the 2028 NBA Draft. At the recent FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Türkiye, he averaged 24.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game across seven contests, earning a spot on the All-Star Five team and winning Best Defensive Player honors. He previously won MVP at the 2025 FIBA U16 EuroBasket, where he averaged 20.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists as Serbia claimed gold.
