Nine of 20 Premier League teams have changed managers. Strap in – this could be unpredictable

Nine of the 20 Premier League clubs will begin the 2026-27 season with new managers, the highest number in the division's history. The previous record was eight new managers, set in summer 2016 when Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte, and Jose Mourinho took charge of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United respectively. Two additional managers, Michael Carrick and Roberto De Zerbi, were also not in their current roles at the start of last season, adding further layers of change to an already unprecedented situation.
