Noemi Rüegg abandons Vuelta after crash

Noemi Rüegg of EF Pro Cycling has abandoned La Vuelta Femenina after crashing inside the final 20 kilometers of stage 2. X-rays confirmed a fracture to her right shoulder that will require surgery. The crash came a day after she won stage 1 and took the race leader's red jersey.
