Norris ‘hopeful’ recent car issue will be cured in Singapore
Lando Norris has acknowledged that McLaren 'underperformed' at the last two race weekends in Baku and Sepang, with neither him nor teammate Oscar Piastri reaching the podium at either event. Norris was hampered by straight-line speed issues during those rounds, a stark contrast to his earlier mid-season form where he took three pole positions and two victories across Budapest, Zandvoort, Monza and Madrid. Heading into the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Norris said he is 'hopeful' the speed issues can be resolved and admitted the team needs to 'do a better job' going forward.
