Norris joins McLaren Hypercar test at Portimao - RACER

Reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris tested the McLaren MCL-HY Hypercar at Portimão, Portugal, completing 38 laps of the 4.653 km circuit in the car's fifth track test. The visit marked Norris's second time in the Hypercar, following its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and came immediately after he took pole position and a podium finish at the inaugural F1 race at the Circuito de Madring. Norris worked alongside factory drivers Mikkel Jensen and 2024 FIA World Endurance Hypercar champion Laurens Vanthoor, with the McLaren Hypercar program targeting the 2027 FIA WEC season.
