Oliver Bearman has acknowledged that his chances of securing a Ferrari seat are 'not ideal' following Lewis Hamilton's confirmation that he intends to stay at the team beyond the immediate future. With Charles Leclerc also having signed a new long-term contract extension earlier in 2026, both Ferrari seats appear locked up, effectively blocking any potential opening for Bearman. The 2022 Ferrari Driver Academy recruit, who made his Formula 1 debut with Ferrari in 2024 as a substitute for Carlos Sainz, has indicated he is largely ruling himself out of silly season speculation unless a Ferrari drive becomes available.
