Nottingham Forest transfer news: Abbott joins Southampton on loan

Nottingham Forest defender Zach Abbott, 20, has signed a new four-year contract at the City Ground before joining Southampton on a season-long loan. Abbott made his senior debut against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup in 2024 and went on to make 12 appearances in all competitions, including seven in the Europa League. The academy graduate had a breakthrough season that included his Premier League debut for Forest.
