Notts County survive FA Cup scare at Altrincham amid severe fog

Notts County survived an FA Cup first round scare against National League side Altrincham, winning 3-2 on penalties after the match finished 2-2 following 120 minutes of play. The game was played in near-blinding fog, with Altrincham leading as late as six minutes before the end of normal time before Notts County levelled. County had taken the lead through Jacob Bedeau in the 28th minute, while Altrincham equalised via a Lucas Weaver strike that may have been offside.
