Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion and world No. 5, was eliminated in the second round of the Cincinnati Open, losing 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 to Argentina's Thiago Agustin Tirante, ranked world No. 50. The 39-year-old revealed after the match that he has been dealing with an ongoing health condition, which was worsened by the heat and humidity in Ohio, forcing him to take a medical timeout during the match. It was Djokovic's first competitive match since his Wimbledon semi-final defeat to Jannik Sinner in July.
