However, with contract negotiations between the Nuggets and Watson's agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group remaining far apart, Denver is also open to a sign-and-trade for the 23-year-old forward. Only the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers currently have the salary-cap space to submit the level of offer sheet Watson is seeking.
