NWSL AWARDS EXPANSION FRANCHISE TO COLUMBUS,MARKING THE LEAGUE’S 18TH CLUB

The National Women's Soccer League has awarded an expansion franchise to Columbus, Ohio, growing the league to 18 clubs. This marks a significant milestone in the NWSL's continued expansion efforts, as the league builds on its recent growth trajectory across the United States. Columbus, already home to a strong soccer culture through its MLS club Columbus Crew, is set to welcome a new professional women's soccer team to the city.
