Ohtani's next pitching start pushed back to Friday vs. Padres
The Los Angeles Dodgers have pushed back Shohei Ohtani's next pitching start from Wednesday against the A's to Friday against the Padres at Dodger Stadium, giving him a season-high eight days of rest between outings. Ohtani, who holds an impressive 8-2 record with a 1.58 ERA through 13 starts, is receiving extra rest during a stretch of 13 consecutive games without an off-day. The adjustment still allows Ohtani to make two starts before the All-Star break, with his final first-half start tentatively scheduled for July 10 against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
