Olympian Jenny Simpson shows 'encouraging improvement' after collapsing at a Raleigh track event
Olympic runner Jenny Simpson, 39, collapsed at a track event in Raleigh and required CPR and an automated external defibrillator (AED) before being transported to hospital. Fleet Feet CEO Joey Pointer, who was attending the event, remained with Simpson at the hospital until her family arrived. Simpson is reported to be showing 'encouraging improvement' following the medical emergency.
