Olympic champion Thomas returns to London

US sprinter and Olympic champion Gabby Thomas will compete in the women's 200m at the London Wanda Diamond League meeting on July 18, marking her first Diamond League appearance since winning there in 2024 with a then-meeting record of 21.82. The 30-year-old, the fourth-fastest woman of all time at 200m with a personal best of 21.60, missed much of last season due to an Achilles injury but has shown strong form this year, setting a 100m personal best of 10.95 in Botswana in April. Thomas described London as one of her favourite Diamond League meets and said the race will form part of her preparations for September's Ultimate Championships.
