Olympics gender row boxer Imane Khelif to make professional debut: Algerian announces fight with 21-year-old in December... two-and-a-half years after controversial gold in Paris

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics amid a gender eligibility controversy, will make her professional debut in December in Paris. She will face 21-year-old women's boxer Clarida Sarabia in her first professional bout. The fight comes more than two years after Khelif's controversial Olympic appearance thrust her into the centre of an international gender row.
