One player to skip FedEx St. Jude Championship, start of FedEx Cup Playoffs

Daniel Berger, who finished 60th in the FedEx Cup standings, has opted to skip the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, reducing the field from 70 to 69 players. No reason was given for his absence, though he missed the cut in four of his last five regular-season events. The tournament has no cut, with the top 50 finishers advancing to the BMW Championship and the top 30 from there reaching the Tour Championship.
