One-time title challenger booked for UFC Shanghai co-main event

Yan Xiaonan (19-5, 1 NC), currently ranked No. 5 in the strawweight division, has been booked to face top contender Denise Gomes (12-3) in the co-main event of UFC Shanghai on August 29 at Shanghai Indoor Stadium in China. This will be Yan's first fight in over a year, following a unanimous decision loss to Virna Jandiroba in April 2025. The event is headlined by a bantamweight bout between Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong.
