Onley ruled out of Tour de France with injury
Oscar Onley, the 23-year-old Scottish cyclist, has been ruled out of the upcoming Tour de France after suffering a significant shoulder injury when he crashed on stage six of the Tour Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes in France. His team Netcompany-Ineos initially reported a dislocated shoulder, but further tests confirmed the injury was more serious. Onley had finished fourth in last year's Tour de France, equalling the best-ever result by a Scottish rider, a feat previously achieved by Philippa York (then Robert Millar) in 1984.
