Patrick Mahomes: Kansas City Chiefs star to become NFL's first $500m player

Patrick Mahomes, the 30-year-old Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, has agreed a two-year contract extension that makes him the first NFL player with a contract worth more than $500 million, with guaranteed earnings of $504.75 million. The deal ties him to the Chiefs until 2033, extending his previous reported $450 million, 10-year contract. Mahomes has led Kansas City to five Super Bowl appearances, winning three championships.
