Patten and Skupski take Great Britain past Ecuador to reach Davis Cup Final 8

Great Britain secured a place in the Davis Cup Final 8 by defeating Ecuador 3-0 in their qualifier. World No 1 Henry Patten and US Open doubles champion Neal Skupski, playing only their second match as partners, beat Gonzalo Escobar and Diego Hidalgo 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the tie. Harry Wendelken then won the dead rubber 6-2, 6-3, with the Davis Cup Final 8 set to take place in Bologna in November.
