Penguins sign Kuzmenko in hopes of replacing Mantha's production
The Pittsburgh Penguins signed 30-year-old forward Andrei Kuzmenko to a one-year contract on July 1, hoping he can replace Anthony Mantha's production after Mantha led the team with 33 goals. Kuzmenko, who recorded 25 points in 52 games for the Los Angeles Kings last season, is recovering from February meniscus surgery. The Penguins also acquired forward Nicholas Robertson from the Toronto Maple Leafs and signed defensemen Trevor van Riemsdyk and Kaedan Korczak as part of their offseason roster overhaul ahead of the 2026-27 season starting September 29.
