Penguins Sign Tommy Novak to a Three-Year Contract Extension
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Tommy Novak to a three-year contract extension running from the 2027-28 through 2029-30 seasons, with an average annual value of $4.65 million, as announced by GM Kyle Dubas on July 31, 2026. Novak, 29, posted 16 goals, 26 assists, and 42 points in all 82 regular-season games for Pittsburgh in 2025-26, making him the only Penguin to appear in every game that season. The extension prevents Novak from reaching unrestricted free agency after the 2026-27 season; he has accumulated 159 points in 285 career NHL games split between the Penguins and Nashville Predators.
