Peterka traded to Bruins by Mammoth for 2 1st-round picks

The Utah Mammoth traded 24-year-old forward JJ Peterka to the Boston Bruins on Friday in exchange for two first-round picks: the No. 23 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and a conditional first-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft. Peterka had recorded 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 82 games this season, his first with Utah after being acquired from the Buffalo Sabres. Utah subsequently flipped the No. 23 pick to the Detroit Red Wings for goaltender Sebastian Cossa, with GM Bill Armstrong citing roster flexibility and opportunity for younger players as the motivation.
