PFA calls out ‘crazy calendar’ as responsible for Cole Palmer and Phil Foden burnout

The Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Maheta Molango has blamed the demanding football calendar for the burnout of England internationals Phil Foden and Cole Palmer, who both missed this summer's World Cup. Molango made the comments alongside new data revealing that seven of the top 10 most overplayed players across Europe's top leagues this season were from English clubs. The PFA argues the volume of games is damaging the quality and availability of top players.
