PGA Tour suspends Matt Gogel six months for betting
The PGA Tour suspended 55-year-old Matt Gogel, a PGA Tour Champions member, for six months after he admitted to placing small recreational wagers on golf in 2024 and 2025, violating the tour's Integrity Program. Gogel, who won the 2002 Pebble Beach Pro-Am and played 178 PGA Tour events between 2000 and 2006, did not bet on tournaments he participated in, but his wagers still breached tour policy. His suspension runs through February 22, 2027, after which he plans to return to play on the PGA Tour Champions.
