PGA Tour Unveils First Championship Series Events for 2028 Revamp

The PGA Tour has announced the first events for its upcoming Championship Series, set to launch in 2028 as part of a new two-track model. The Travelers Championship, held annually at TPC River Highlands near Hartford, Connecticut, will be among the first confirmed events in the top-tier series. The Championship Series will feature approximately 15 regular-season events alongside the four majors, the Players Championship, and playoff events, with purses for PGA Tour-operated events starting at a minimum of $20 million.
