PGA Tour's new postseason has clear message: Toughest to qualify for and to win

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp announced a new postseason format featuring seven days of match play over two weeks in two cities. Up to 90 leading players will compete in the BMW Championship, with the top 32 advancing to the Tour Championship, which uses a group-stage format of four players in eight groups before single-elimination rounds. Rolapp emphasized the event is designed to be 'one of the most difficult tournaments to qualify for and win,' prioritizing prestige over prize money.
