Pierre Gasly has first pole of Formula 1 career at Italian Grand Prix

Alpine's Pierre Gasly claimed the first pole position of his Formula 1 career on Saturday during qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The 30-year-old Frenchman edged Mercedes driver George Russell by just 0.060 seconds to take top spot. Gasly, who has competed in F1 since 2018, previously won his only grand prix on the same Monza circuit in 2020.
