Pogacar set for Tour de France glory in shortened finale as Carapaz wins stage 20

Tadej Pogacar is poised to claim a fourth Tour de France title after holding a commanding lead following the Alpe d'Huez stage. The final Stage 21 has been shortened to just 89km, starting on the Champs-Élysées, after French authorities redeployed security forces to assist with wildfire response efforts elsewhere in France. Richard Carapaz won Stage 20 as Pogacar's overall victory appeared all but confirmed.
