Pol Espargaró to replace Viñales at the British GP

Maverick Viñales will miss the British MotoGP Grand Prix at Silverstone due to ongoing recovery from an injury sustained at the Sachsenring in 2025, which affected the strength in his left arm. KTM reserve rider Pol Espargaró, a 2013 Moto2 World Champion who has previously deputised for Viñales earlier in the 2025 season, will step in as his replacement. Viñales made the decision to withdraw following further medical consultation during the summer break, including a visit to the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centre.
