Porsche eBike Performance folds – what now for Fazua?

Porsche is shutting down its e-bike motor division, Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, which includes the German mid-drive pioneer Fazua, citing 'fundamentally changed market conditions' as it refocuses on its core sports car business. Porsche had acquired Fazua in June 2022 with ambitions to develop high-quality e-bikes, and also purchased Greyp in 2023. The closure will result in hundreds of job cuts, ending Porsche's significant push into the e-mobility sector.
