Portugal suspend Cristiano Ronaldo after walking out on national team

Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, has been provisionally suspended by the Portuguese football federation, which has opened disciplinary proceedings against him after he walked out on the national team. Ronaldo apologised to supporters on Tuesday but also criticised Portugal coach Jorge Jesus, who he has been openly critical of. Ronaldo stated he would accept any suspension imposed on him as a result of his actions.
