Poulton succeeds Connor as England women’s cricket chief

Leah Poulton, a former Australia batter capped 90 times across all formats before retiring in 2015, has been appointed as the managing director of the England women's cricket team, succeeding Clare Connor. Connor departed the England and Wales Cricket Board after 18 years following the T20 World Cup, in which England reached the final. Poulton, 42, joins from Cricket New South Wales where she served as head of elite female cricket, having previously worked as a high performance coach at Cricket Australia.
