Predators Hire Chris MacFarland as President of Hockey Operations and General Manager
The Nashville Predators have hired Chris MacFarland as President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, as announced by Chairman and Majority Owner Bill Haslam on June 2, 2026. MacFarland, who spent the previous four seasons as General Manager of the Colorado Avalanche and won the Stanley Cup in 2022, replaces Barry Trotz, who is transitioning to an advisory role after announcing his retirement plans in February. MacFarland becomes the third GM in Predators history and the second to hold the president of hockey operations title.
