Prem and RFU commit to expanding with English clubs after report of Welsh sides joining

Premiership Rugby and the Rugby Football Union have issued a joint statement affirming their commitment to expanding the top flight exclusively with English clubs. This comes in response to reports that two Welsh sides could join the competition, with the Welsh Rugby Union allegedly in advanced discussions with Prem Rugby and the RFU about creating a cross-border league. The statement emphasized that resources would remain focused on English clubs, effectively pushing back against the reported plans.
