Premier League clubs agree EFL funding proposal
Premier League clubs have unanimously voted to approve a funding proposal for a 'new strategic partnership' with the English Football League (EFL), according to a BBC report published on 30 July 2026. The proposal will be put to the EFL over the coming days, potentially ending a long-running financial dispute between the two organisations. The Premier League currently generates approximately £3.84 billion per year in TV income, while the EFL receives just over £1 billion over five years.
