Premier League Statement

The Premier League and Aston Villa FC have entered into a sanction agreement, announced on 26 June 2026, after the club admitted breaching Premier League Rule L.33 regarding kick-off and re-start obligations. The breaches occurred across nine Premier League matches during the 2025/26 season. The sanction agreement has been ratified by three members of the Independent Judicial Panel, as required by Premier League Rules.
