Pressure piles on Carrick as 10-man Man Utd lose at Chelsea

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, extending their winless run in all competitions to nine matches. Morgan Rogers opened the scoring five minutes after half-time, before Lisandro Martínez was sent off for an elbow on Wesley Fofana, and Cole Palmer converted the resulting penalty to seal the win. The result leaves United with just seven points from nine Premier League games, intensifying pressure on head coach Michael Carrick, who had already survived calls for his dismissal following a 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth the previous weekend.
