‘Project Magic’: RFL in talks with NRL over radical changes to investment deal

The Rugby Football League (RFL) is in talks with Australia's NRL over a revised funding deal after Super League clubs rejected an initial £35m investment package last week. The alternative proposal, dubbed 'Project Magic' and produced by Rugby League Commercial, involves a £50m loan package in place of the previously offered guaranteed investment. The 14 Super League club owners are set to discuss the new terms at a meeting on Tuesday.
