Proof that golf is good for you as you get older
New research from neuroscientist Stephen Smith of SPL/PSYenz indicates that playing golf provides significant neurological benefits for elderly people, potentially protecting against dementia. The study suggests that the act of swinging a golf club offers additional brain health advantages beyond those gained from simply walking. Senior golfers who play two or three times a week, covering approximately five miles per round, appear to benefit both physically and mentally from the sport.
