PWR attendances rise by 23% after World Cup

Premiership Women's Rugby reported a 23.4% rise in average attendances during the 2025-26 season, which concluded with Saracens winning a record fourth title by defeating first-time finalists Trailfinders. The attendance boost was largely attributed to the momentum generated by England winning a home Rugby World Cup at Twickenham in September 2025. The growth came despite the departure of social media star and US player Ilona Maher from Bristol Bears, who had driven significant attention to the league during the previous season.
