Qatar pulls out of hosting 2028 Nations Championship owing to Middle East crisis

Qatar has withdrawn from hosting the finals of the 2028 Nations Championship due to uncertainty caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The decision also resulted in the cancellation of a planned title sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways, which had been set to cover four editions of the competition. Qatar had originally agreed to stage the six-match final series in both 2028 and 2032, with Paris's Stade de France now emerging as the most likely replacement venue for the 2028 finals.
