Quinn Hughes, Wild to discuss contract this week: report

Quinn Hughes, 26, and his representatives are set to meet with Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin this week to discuss a contract extension, per The Athletic. Hughes is in the final year of a six-year, $47.1 million deal originally signed with the Vancouver Canucks, and would become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2027. Acquired by Minnesota in December 2025, Hughes recorded 76 points in 74 games last season and was second among NHL defensemen in assists.
