Racecourse fined after jockey taken to A&E in horsebox
Sedgefield Racecourse has been fined £6,500 after failing to comply with five 'general instructions' relating to safety. The penalty follows an incident in which a jockey required emergency medical treatment and was transported to Accident and Emergency in a horsebox rather than a proper medical vehicle. The fine was imposed due to the racecourse's failure to meet the required safety standards.
