Raddysh traded to Maple Leafs by Lightning after signing 8-year contract
Defenseman Darren Raddysh was traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday in a sign-and-trade deal, with Tampa Bay receiving a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. The 30-year-old signed an eight-year contract before the trade, after posting career highs across multiple statistical categories this season, including 22 goals, 48 assists, and 70 points in 73 games. Toronto, which allowed the second-most goals per game (3.60) this season, hopes Raddysh will strengthen their blue line, according to general manager John Chayka.
