Rahm sacrifices £75m to secure exit from LIV Golf
Jon Rahm has agreed to a separation deal with LIV Golf, forfeiting a reported $100m (£75m) still owed to him under his contract. LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States in September after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund withdrew its multibillion-dollar backing. Rahm, who had joined LIV Golf from the PGA Tour in December 2023, was listed as the organisation's top unsecured creditor, with $7.4m (£5.5m) owed for the remainder of the 2026 season alone.
