Rangers scratch Nathan Eovaldi from his scheduled start because of left side tightness
Texas Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi was scratched from his scheduled Monday night start against Arizona due to left side tightness, with reliever Jakob Junis stepping in as his replacement. Eovaldi, who holds a 4-4 record and a 4.15 ERA, had been in strong recent form, winning his last two starts against the Yankees while allowing just one run and striking out 15 batters over 15 innings. The Rangers announced the change approximately three hours before first pitch of the series opener in Arlington.
