Rasmus Dahlin named finalist for Norris Trophy
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin has been named a finalist for the 2026 James Norris Memorial Trophy, awarded to the NHL's best defenseman, alongside Colorado's Cale Makar and Columbus' Zach Werenski. Dahlin finished the season with a career-high 74 points, ranking sixth among NHL defensemen, despite taking a personal leave in November to support his fiancée Carolina Matovac during her recovery from an emergency heart transplant. A Norris Trophy win would make Dahlin the first recipient in Sabres franchise history, and he is also a finalist for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
