Ratified: world records for Hoey, Kejelcha and Yamanishi

World Athletics has ratified three world records: Josh Hoey (USA) ran 1:42.50 in the men's 800m short track in Boston on 24 January 2026, Toshikazu Yamanishi (JPN) set a men's half marathon race walk record of 1:20:34 in Kobe on 15 February 2026, and Yomif Kejelcha's (ETH) 26:31 10km run from Castellón on 16 February 2025 was added to the record books following the disqualification of Rhonex Kipruto's previous 26:24 mark. Additionally, world U20 records by Saron Berhe (4:01.23 women's 1500m short track) and Cooper Lutkenhaus (1:44.03 men's 800m short track) were also ratified.
